Bar in Kaysersberg
Marius Bar by Le Chambard
The Marius Bar owes its name to our establishment’s founder,
Marius Chambard, who opened Le Chambard Hotel in Kaysersberg in 1920.
The bar of Le Chambard is yet a further nod to Chef Olivier Nasti's passion for hunting. Various animal trophies from his hunting adventures around the world adorn the Marius Bar, creating a distinctly foresty feel.
Practical Information
The Marius Bar welcomes you every day from 10am to 11pm.
Resembling a wine cellar with its stone walls, the Marius Bar invites you to relax and savour a moment of refined comfort in a hushed and velvety décor.
Exposed wooden beams and well-designed lighting add to the warm and intimate feel. Designed as a cabinet of curiosities, it features various collectors' items and a small library.
The Marius Bar also boasts a fine collection of vintages selected by our Head Sommelier, Jean-Baptiste Klein. Located at the heart of the Alsace Wine Route, Jean-Baptiste particularly enjoys seeking out local winemakers to then be able to share the treasures of the local area with guests.
He delights in inciting their curiosity and enhancing the Chef’s dishes with his inspired pairings. For Jean-Baptiste Klein, each bottle has a story and philosophy to tell, which he conveys with great emotion.
At the Marius Bar, our Best Craftsman of France in Sommellerie, voted Sommelier of the Year 2024 by the Gault&Millau guide, also wishes to create a unique venue for tasting spirits and beers produced by the many microbreweries in the Kaysersberg area.
